TM: The Untold Stories Behind 29 Classic Logos by Mark Sinclair
In March 2011, visual culture magazine Creative Review featured 20 iconic logos in a special edition issue. Three years later, editor Mark Sinclair has revealed a book that delves deeper: TM: The Untold Stories Behind 29 Classic Logos.
Fashioned as a collection of case studies, Sinclair investigated the stories behind the creation of the selected logos. This involved tracking down their respective designers, and in some cases their surviving family members.
Most logos featured are from before the turn of the century: Sinclair curated images according to their recorded popularity and longevity, as opposed to pizzaz or complexity.
