Snake Tree House by Luis & Tiago Rebelo de Andrade

French architects Luis and Tiago Rebelo de Andrade sought out to bring the fantasy of tree houses to life. The two were inspired by this idea in the midst of their project partnership for Pedras Salgadas Park.

The bridge to the home gives the structure its unique look. The gradual extension was designed to imitate the movement and nature of a snake – hence the name.

The facade is made of authentic slate wood, bringing the modern interior of the home together with its surroundings. The home is also environmentally sustainable, as the home uses solar panels and ecologically friendly water systems.
