Hidden World Pattern Collection by María Rut Dýrfjörð

María Rut Dýrfjörð’s latest project, titled the Hidden World Pattern Collection, was inspired by the work of architect Guðjón Samúelsson.

Dýrfjörð felt connected with Samúelsson’s buildings and style of work. He claims the pattern-making in his own pieces reflect, stretch, mirror and repeat Samúelsson’s.

The patterns mimic those of monumental theatres, churches, and other buildings. The Hidden World Pattern Collection features six patterns total.
