Blume by Takeshi Ishiodori Architecture

The firm of Takeshi Ishiodori Architecture has unveiled Blume, an L-shaped house in Japan’s Kagoshima region. The monolithic house is painted dark colours on the outside, and comes with an attached fenced courtyard.

Walnut wood is used for most of the supporting beams and cabinetry within, and tall glass doors open into the courtyard to maximize the sunlight.

Despite an exterior made of galvanized steel, the house is intended to evoke the air of a classic wooden bungalow.
