867 De Bougainville by Bourgeois/Lechasseur Architects

867 De Bougainville, designed by Bourgeois/Lechasseur Architects, is a minimalist home located in Québec City. The building dates back to 1924 and is located in the predominantly residential Montcalm neighbourhood.

The project involved a complete remodelling of the ground floor apartment in order to make the space more bright, airy, and functional for the young family that occupies the residence.

The light now flows freely through the living area, which runs east-west. A brick wall, discovered during demolition, has been enhanced to add an element of texture and interest.
