Andreas Friberg Lundgren’s Favorite Thing: Leather Passport Holder

When my father was 16 years old, he spent a Christmas holiday working at a boutique selling gloves and leather accessories. When he quit the job, he was given this leather passport holder as a goodbye gift by his employer.

It stayed with him over the years and followed him on numerous travels across the world. Some fifteen years ago, he gave me the passport holder and I have continued to cherish it, bringing it with me wherever I travel.

Somehow, it has transformed from a merely utilitarian object into a monument of both shared and individual memories, a testimonial to our strong bond and our shared love for traveling.
